Queering Asian American Feminism

Last year, organizers from NAPAWF*New York City launched a series of events reflecting upon the state of Asian American feminism in our present political moment including topics such as history, organizing, reproductive justice, electoral politics and more. We’re revisiting the series with an event focused on “queering” Asian American feminism and mainstream feminist movements. In continuing to organize around Asian American feminism, we recognize that queer women of color have spearheaded our movements and continue to be on the front lines of political activism.

How do gender and/or sexuality intersect with and inform our (feminist) activism?

“Queering Asian American Feminism” brings together thought leaders and artists to gather and share thoughts on the current state of our Asian American/feminist movements, contextualized through the LGBTQ+ lens.
