DOUBLE YOLK MOON

IMG_0066.JPG

Double Yolk Moon is an auto-ethnographic cross-disciplinary performance told in shadow, sound, and movement that unearths histories of foreignness, family mythologies and queerness in East Asian communities in the United States through the unlikely friendship between Bex Kwan and Sophia Mak.

Double Yolk Moon began development through the Brooklyn Arts Exchange Upstart Program 2018. It was selected for the Trans Theater Festival 2018 at The Brick, where a workshop will be presented in July 2018. MOONCAKE COLLECTIVE has also been selected for the Brooklyn Arts Exchange Space Grant 2018 and BRIClab 2019 Residency to further develop this project.
